Electromagnetic networks at Télécom Paris

Télécom Paris, ranked among the four best engineering schools in France, is a member of the Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) and founder member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris). Created in 1978, it has evolved over the years to become the leading engineering school in France in the field of digital technology. With excellent teaching and pedagogical innovation, Télécom Paris is positioned at the heart of an innovation ecosystem enriched by the interaction between initial and continuous education programs, its research center and its two corporate incubators.

The High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres) has assessed its research as being exceptional in quality, with publications in the best journals and conferences. It has also been certified as a “Institut Carnot Télécom et Société numérique” institute.

Research projects cover all digital fields and develop European-level expertise around six strategic themes, including very large networks and systems. The present strategic theme brings together 50 researchers and 80 PhD students.

Created in 2015, the Modeling, Characterization and Control of Electromagnetic Wave Exposure Chair brings together Télécom Paris and IMT Atlantique researchers, with the support of four partners: Agence Nationale des Fréquences (French National Frequency Agency), Huawei, Orange et TDF. This is an area that has high societal impact. The chair holder is professor Joe Wiart.
