Back to the webinar « European projects SEAWave and GOLIAT: Objective and expected results »

On Thursday, May 19, the C2M Chair organized its second webinar of the year dedicated to two research projects funded by the European call for projects HORIZON-HLTH-2021-ENVHLTH-02-01: GOLIAT and SEAwave, in which the chair is involved. This webinar allowed to present the objectives and expected results of these two initiatives. It was structured around two presentations:

• Theodoros Samaras, Medical Physicist by training, Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an Affiliate Professor at the University of Malta. He specialises in the safety and medical applications of electromagnetic fields, working mainly with exposure assessment and dosimetry and is responsible of SEAwave project.
• Mònica Guxens, Medical Doctor, Associated Research Professor at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health. She is specialized in Preventive Medicine and Public Health and responsible of GOLIAT project.

[FR] Jeudi 19 mai, la chaire C2M a organisé son deuxième webinaire de l’année dédié à deux projets de recherche financés par l’appel à projets européen HORIZON-HLTH-2021-ENVHLTH-02-01, GOLIAT et SEAwave, dans lesquels la chaire est impliquée. Ce webinaire a permis de présenter les objectifs et résultats attendus de ces deux initiatives.. Il s’est articulé autour de deux interventions :

• Theodoros Samaras, médecin de formation, Professeur à l’Université Aristote de Thessalonique et maître de conférences à l’Université de Malte. Responsable du projet SEAwave, il est spécialisé dans la sécurité et les applications médicales des champs électromagnétiques, et travaille principalement sur l’évaluation de l’exposition et la dosimétrie.
• Monica Guxens , médecin et Professeur à l’Institute for Global Health de Barcelone. Elle est spécialisée en médecine préventive et en santé publique et est responsable du projet GOLIAT.
